Was browsing and came across the crosshair v , it matches the colour scheme in going for and is supposed to be a "gaming motherboard", i was originally going for the sabertooth r2, but v formula fits in more and is onley around £30 more with extra bios features, is it a good mobo and better than sabertooth?

crosshair: http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/CROSSHAIR_V_FORMULA/

sabertooth: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_990FX_R20/

which is better?

any help appreciated :)

The Crosshair is a better motherboard than the Sabertooth, albeit, it may not be 30 Pounds better. That said, the selection should be on the intended use. If you are a serious gamer, then I would recommend the Crosshair. The Sabertooth is more for a mainstream build.

well this will be my first computer build and its intention is for gaming to replace the xbox 360 and be overall better than the xbox 720 too, only. Baf thing iv heard of crosshair is a cpu fan error apear even if the fan is working, these complaints were from 2011 and 12 tho so i presume there's updated drivers or."patch", i plan on putting 2 7870s for crossfire in the future , its also going to have a wifi pci card , there's enough space for all that and maybe a sound card? Thanks so far :),

also i plan to overclock a 8350 to 4.5ghz, if that makes any difference?
