1) ASUS SABERTOOTH X79 Motherboard

or

2) ASUS P9X79 PRO Motherboard


I m little bit confuse between them. i am buying i7 3930k processer

It is hard to say because for instance, I would choose the P9X79, simply 'cause I don't like the fan on the saber.

The P9X79 also has a bit more options than the sabertooth. Looks to me they are practically the same board

Go for the P9X79 PRO. It's a great board It has better memory support than the sabertooth, more PCIe 3.0 slots and much more

Duh What?! My BIOS goes up to DDR3-2666??!! (see below)

It entirely depends on your use and requirements. If you're never going to need more than (2) two GPU(s) including the GTX 690 (4 cores total) then I really like my Sabertooth X79 especially for OC because of it's active cooling of both the VRM & Chipset. Active cooling is especially important when using something like a Corsair H100 or similar cooling where the HSF assembly lacks fans.

Then your friend is screwing around with the BCLK (101Mz~102MHz) and would have the SAME ability on the Sabertooth X79. The BIOS are essentially from the same (.ROM) template and especially the same (.CAP) template.

OC'ing the RAM or CPU doesn't require 'water' to OC.
