Hey,
Looking to pick up a Z170, kinda confused what board to get, budget is like $300-$400

Is the ASUS SABERTOOTH Z170 MARK 1 any good, any other recommendations?

Solution
The Rock has been independent of Asus for year and has good mobos, they are the number 3 seller over all behind Asus and GB. Those are the only three brands I do client builds on, the Sabertooth is a good mobo, I went with the Hero which is a great mobo, I throw a lot at my rigs and no hiccups through a number of GPUs up through 980s in SLI and 290X in XFire, about a dozen sets of DRAM, half dozen different CPU coolers, etc
300-400 USD? Cause any of the high-end boards I would recommend are typically only $200-250. I would look at the ASRock Extreme series, the ASUS Maximus series, or the Sabertooth series. All of them will do you well. I'm a personal fan of ASUS.

Oh I meant CAD, so its a little less. Is ASRock good? I thought it was a lower end Asus?

Hmm, I guess I'll consider the Hero then. Whats the difference between the ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO and ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA

Also what does Formula add?
