Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1 vs. Mark 2

Hello.



I'm building my new rig and I'm having trouble deciding which motherboard to go with. I choose Sabertooth Z97, but which Mark 1 vs Mark 2? I thought maybe you guys could help a noob out?



So is there any reason to pay 60€ more for the Mark 1 (vs. the Mark 2)? What are differences?

The difference?
The main difference in the armor, mark 2 does not have the armor.
The other differences are not significant e.g. SATAe on Mark1, etc.

RAM modules should have no problems, even if you take something outside the compatibility list.
I have never looked into RAM compatibility list in my live, built hundreds of rigs and so far everything work fine.

I just checked on ram compatibility list on Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2 and i find:

But my rams are CML8GX3M2A1600C9W <-- W is WHITE with 1.35V So i ask . They will be compatible too?

I believe yes.
Do not worry, they will be compatible.
The chance of having incompatible RAM modules is low.
