Asus SBC-06D2X-U not working

Recently i had some computer problems and while i was trying to sort them out. I am pretty sure i deleted the wrong asus file from my computer.


I have a Asus 6x BLu-ray Combo SBC-06D2X-U

The problem is i can not find the disk that came with my drive (which i bought roughly 1 year ago) and the Asus.com site does not have a driver download for this item. Although they do have one for the SBW-06D2X-U but only for windows 8 32/64 bit. I am using windows 7.

SO i am not sure if i can download a drive for windows 8 and possibly the wrong driver and have it work.

nope. when i plug it in the usb it will turn on then turn back off. but the disk still spins.

well after i responded i decided to look in my OLD optical drive and sure enough the disk was inside.... was a little disappointed with myself.

i then ripped disk to a usb then installed the driver. and it works
