Okay so I have a bad motherboard that was sent to me defective. (it is a asus maximus hero VIII)
Here is the catch, I ordered it from superbiiz.com because it was much cheaper, and when I noticed that the socket pins were bent, and some missing (Not by me) I called and they told me they don't accept physically damaged products because they can't repair it.
I called Asus, and they told me to talk to superbiiz. And I am lost, who should I talk too I just want to get my new rig up... Please help me figure this out.
If I can't get it replaced I am out about $280. Sorry for the misspelling, and grammar errors, I am pretty upset right now and typing on my phone.

If superbiiz won't take it back and Asus won't repair/replace it, your last option is to tel superbiiz that if they won't refund/replace it, you will file a claim with your credit card company to have the charge reversed for delivering unusable damaged goods.

The tough part with damaged sockets is proving that the board did genuinely arrive already damaged - it is your word against theirs since neither party has seen the board prior to shipping.

They are both correct.
Bent pins are never covered under warranty.
I would pursue the retailer for a return. Raise a stink.
You possibly bought a returned item which was why it was cheaper.
If they do not accommodate you cross them off your shopping source and deal with a more customer friendly vendor like Newegg.

Ultimately, I think you are stuck.
I once bent the pins on a gigabyte motherboard, and was able to rma the board and pay a $50 charge to get the pins fixed.
You can inquire of asus if they will do such a repair and what it will cost.

Hi

If the board was new you would expect a sealed anti static bag and a plastic cover over the socket held in place by the cpu lock down cover

If seal or cover are missing it means they sent out a previously RMA return to you

It is the seller who is liable. Not manufacturer

Asus is unlikely to accept a warranty return for negligent damage to the board

How did you pay for board ? Debit or credit card ?
If seller unhelpful you may have to sue in court
I am not familiar with us legal system

In uk if credit card was used then credit card co could also be made to refund if seller refused or ceased trading or bankrupt

I can easily clip the cpu cover back into place (IT was designed that way) like It was when I first got it.
And I used paypal.

Replacing the cover will not change anything.
Request a return to superbiz. Do so b by email if you can. Keep a record of all communications. If you have verbal communications, take contemporary notes.
If you get stonewalled, open a complaint with paypal and request that the funds get blocked.
Ebay, and I presume paypal , sides with the buyer 90% of the time.

Yeah I was just saying how simple it was to replace the cover. And Yeah, I will attempt too since I am doing it over the phone.
And Yeah I hope they just fix their mistake.
