Hi!
I got problem with silent square mounting frame.
Its on s939 so its hold by 2 screws.
I keep tightening it, but it still keep moving.
Basicly silent square can slide on CPU and gives quite poo contact.
Any ideas how to tighten it?
I thought that shims would be ok, what do you think?

And is thermal grease applyed correctly(those pictures are taken after removing heatsink, its "used" grease)?

Illustrative pictures and videos:

Thanks

You're not the first one to have this problem. Anandtech encountered a problem when they reviewed the Silent Square Pro. And, they also had a solution. Read on, it's buried on that page somewhere I think.

Hope that helps you out. 2 credit card thicknesses, I think...that's what needs to be added. Keep in mind that was for LGA 775, though, so you might have to add a bit more/less for 939.
