I am building a quiet system and I really like the idle noise to be as minimal as possible. For my gaming, I don't need anything better than R9-270, and one card I'm looking at is the Asus R9-270 OC with DirectCU II... could that card also have a fan curve to go as low as 0 RPM like Strix R9-280 or that's not possible?
I also have an Asus Z97-Pro motherboard, if that helps.... Just curious if the latest BIOS or firmware would allow to set the fan speed on the R9-270 to 0 RPM, or very very low (at idle)? Basically, I want it to run silently at idle/video watching, etc... and then I don't care if it blasts at gaming time!
