I was watching some videos and noticed that Asus strix has a single 8 pci pin connector and the gigabyte has a dual 6 pin connector.

My question is:
¿Does this affect in performance or anything else?
¿Which one is the best GPU, between asus strix and gigabyte 970 (non-G1)?

Looks like I'm going for ASUS since I wan't to math my Asus vii hero motherboard and the GPU, algo because the Asus is the most power efficient out of gigabyte, msi and asus

A 6-pin connector is good for upto 75w, an 8-pin is good for upto 150w. So the only thing Asus has done is change 2x 75w connectors for 1x 150w. The Strix has much lower power requirements for its fans vrs the Gigabyte, and also has 0rpm capability when the pc is idle, this all adding up to more power to the gpu, which makes for a higher headroom ceiling. It's the better card imho, only equalled by the Evga FTW, (surpassed if you consider Evga's warranty and customer service)
