Asus Strix 980ti or 1070 Founders

Hi everyone, im getting a new graphics card after tried an sli with two 970 and dissapoint of the poor driver issue and gameplay issues with sli performance... so..
Im between a Asus 980 ti Strix Gaming or a 1070 Founders Edition or similar in price
NOTICE: the 980 ti is 8500 ARS and the 1070 is 10500/11000, in USD its like, 120USD difference...
What should i do?

They are very close. Which makes the 120 USD hard to stomach for one over the other.

I guess if you don't mind the fact that it is older and will have a slightly shorter lifespan compared to the 1070, you could go 980 ti

the only advantage of 1070 is over 980ti is the extra 2GB VRAM the card have. while stock vs stock 1070 end up being faster an overclocked 980ti often beat overclocked 1070. if you game at 1080p going for 980ti should be fine. at higher rest it will be a bit tricky. but if you can tolerate to lower the setting that is very hungry on VRAM like high level of AA or ultra texture (that often did not look different than very high/high unless you compare side by side picture) then 980ti should do just fine.
