I am looking to upgrade my pc and in doing so I want to get a ryzen 5 2600. I looked up a good motherboard for it and I found the Asus Strix B350-F Gaming was a “good option.” However, when I put it into the pcpartpicker website it said it was potentially incompatible. Is it anything to worry about?

Some AMD B350 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Pinnacle Ridge CPUs : Ryzen 5 2600 support validated after Bios 3803:if your motherboard ships with this bios version and above you're all set, otherwise upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions, AMD will lend you an older processor to update your BIOS to support a Ryzen APU, The boot kit is part of AMD's warranty service. To request one, you have to visit AMD's warranty claims page ( https://support.amd.com/en-us/warranty/rma) and fill in your contact and product details. In the problem description field, AMD asks that you write "Boot kit Required"

Motherboards with X470 chipset do not suffer from this issue, but...
