Hello there! I am putting together a new pc and since my knowledge in pc components are low, I would like to ask which of the motherboards above is better, and in which way. Thank you
Computer: i7 8700k
ASUS Strix Gtx 1070 OC
Hdd Seagate 2Tb
Vengeance DDR4 2x8Gb Ram

The z370 will allow overclocking the b360 will not there are other minor differences but that's the main one

Have you compared their specs, features, and options at their websites?

They are both top of the line boards, but I would favor the Asus for what I need and like. Your issues might be different. Go to their specs tab and check out the differences.

Good point. I assumed he knew that, but I probably shouldn't have. I have gotten away from OC'ing because I'm still using a 1080p/60hz display. And today's CPUs are way more than enough for that.

I make it a point to assume everyone on here buying a k series processor intends to oc it. But not always the case certainly.

And you'd be correct. But some folks just go for the K series for the extra MHz they usually get over their non-K brethren.

Anyone tried a locked 8th gen on a z370? I know at least through the 6700 you could oc it to 6700k speeds with one. Haven't had a non k cpu around since then to check it
