Asus strix gtx 960 with my psu

Hello I'm planning to buy an Asus gtx 960 because my current GT 640 is going bad, I looked at the gtx 960's requirements and it requires one 6-pin connector and i'm not to sure if my psu has that. The psu is an xtreme gear 600w atx power supply and the model number is XG-H600. I'm only planning on using this for a little while longer until I can buy a new one because of the bad rep Xtreme gear has but I need to know if the 960 can work with it until i get my new psu.

It should be enough for a GTX 960 since it is a low power GPU. Open up your case and see if there is a PCIE 6 pin connector. Don't confuse your self with the CPU connector from the power supply.

I opened up my case and found a 6 pin connector that leads into an 8 pin one, I have 2 of those. Can i just connect the 6 pin into the gpu and leave the 8 pin one alone or does that not work? This is my first time replacing a computer part so I just want to make sure.
