I decided to go ahead and build a gaming rig. What I didn't know though is that selecting compatible components could be so annoying. I can't find any information whatsoever as to which components are compatible. I'd like to ask a few questions about this:
First off, I'm searching for a motherboard that's compatible with the following components:
-Asus STRIX GTX970 DC2OC 4GD5
-Intel Core i7 4790K
-Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler (or should I pick the H100i liquid cooler?)
-Enthusiast Series RM750x Power Supply Fully Modular 80 Plus Gold 750 Watt EU Version
I haven't selected RAM or storage yet, I'd go with 12gb or 16gb of ram, and 1TB hard disk (SSD is currently too expensive).
Secondly, are the parts I mentioned actually compatible? And should I go with the H100i liquid cooler instead of the Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler?
I'm kind of new to all of this so it's likely that I said something that doesn't make any sense or selected a component that's not compatible with the others at all, so I apologise if that's the case... Speaking of cases, are there any you recommend? They should be big enough though, I've heard Asus strix is pretty big (please don't make them too expensive)
Thanks in advance!
