Asus Strix GTX 980 Ti

I have been looking to get my hands on the strix 980 ti for a while now. Can someone please enlighten me as to whether this card has been actually released yet or if a release date is out or not. I am very confused since I saw that it was in stock on July 8th on newegg (and promptly sold out) and has an entry on amazon. Can I buy this card yet? I cannot seem to find any answer for this. If this has already been asked I apologize and hope someone can direct me to that thread as I cannot seem to find one.

this website is great for finding parts, this card seems to be out but amazon says it ships within 1-2 months.

there are plenty of other great 980tis though, you could get the gigabyte g1 gaming

If it ships within 1-2 months is that technically a pre-order, or is asus so backlogged on their 100% automated production process?

If I'm not mistaken it hasn't actually been released to the retail market. I'd guess mid-august.

this is a pretty strange price for this card as it is normally 670$. Yes I think it has released but seems to be completely out of stock. I would not buy one now. You should probably look into other 980tis as there are others that are equal/better than this one for similar prices.
