Hello Guys,

I want to upgrade my BIOS Setting but I have a RAID setup with two 4TB HDD's.
How can I make sure that that RAID Setup works, after the upgrade?

greetings Lukas

What is the make/model of your motherboard and the current bios level?
CPU-Z will tell you.

What kind of raid? 0 or 1?

Test your ram with memtest86.
If you can complete a full pass with NO errors, your ram is ok and your problems are elsewhere.
If you get an error, test one stick at a time.
Is your ram from a single kit?

Be aware that a failed bios flash can brick your motherboard or at least make it nasty to recover from.

It's the Asus Strix Z270-f with the version 1301 with the build date 03/14/2018. (Looked that up in my bios)

The new bios would be the 1301 with the built date 04/14/2018.

Is this the same version or somehow newer? I'm confused.

I have a RAID 1.

Yes i tested with Memtest86. I got really weird results.
PLease have a look on my other thread:

I have two ram kits, in the right slots. (A2, B2 and A1, B1)

Thanks for your fast responses help.
