I am helping a friend build a computer and the yellow LED is lit and the monitor recieves no signal. According to the manual, the yellow LED stands for an error with the DRAM. The manual recommends RAM in slots A2 -> B2 -> A1 ->B1. I have tried starting with RAM in slots A2 and B2 and RAM in just A2. In both occasions the yellow LED is still lit and the monitor receives no signal.

Components:

STRIX z270f motherboard

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Intel Z170 Platform

CORSAIR CS-M Series CS850M 850W

Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Quad-Core 4.2 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80677I77700K

ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1080 STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5X PCI Express 3.0 HDCP

So it turns out that even though the RAM was clicking into place, it was not fully secured. I had to press down with force that I assumed would have broken the motherboard to get it into place, but it fully secured it and cleared up all problems. Thank you very much for your help and I apologize for making a novice mistake.
