Asus stuck on bios splash screen (one out of two times)

Hello, I just builded my new asus sabertooth z87 system and I discovered an odd problem. Quite often(something like one out of two times) When I boot the system, I stays stuck on the Bios Splash screen(The ultimate force). I can't press any key to get in the bios. Then I press the reset switch an it goes all the way in windows. I flashed the bios to the latest version and I still have the same problem. I also disable every boot device exept my intel ssd on wich windows is installed. I really don't see what my problem can be. Can anybody help me?

Check that your ram is locked in tight to the ram clips. Make sure the asus bios is set to standard speed and xmp profile is turned on. On the mb make sure your Sata cables are plugged into the intel 6g ports on my sabertooth z77 there two ports marked 6a for the acmedia ports. If you used and after market heat sink check for any leaked thermal pastes on the CPU pins and check that the CPU cooler not over tightened on the CPU. When I did that on my rig the CPU red led came on.

I just noticed that the boot device led on the mobo was turned on.

See if your Ssd or hard drive needs a firmware update. Check that the drive is pining up.

I runned the intel ssd update tool and it said that the drive was up to date. I'm going to try to boot only with the ssd now. I will unplug my other hd.

Ok didn't worked.. I think I'm going to try to call asus customer support tomorrow...

Hmmm may seem odd, but say... try disconnecting your SSD/HDD (all of them and just leave the disk drive connected).

Power on and see if your BIOS freezes, it will still read everything else, and just say theres no HDD.. i think. But try that a few times and see if it it actually "freezes" if it doesnt it's probably some sort of incompatibility with the SSD/HDD drive .

(Never tried it, it's a shot in the dark, but worth a shot all the same)

Make sure your Drives are on the intel port and raid is off and Sata ports set to achi mode. Also if you have a wifi or sound card and not using onboard sound make sure there turned off in the bios. Sometime 3 party cards have to move them or use another brand sometime the lock onto Irq or memory range of another mb device.
