Question Asus Tuf B450M motherboard M.2_2 causing issues

I have a rig already set up. Asus Tuf B450M, and an nvme SSD in M.2_1 slot and an HDD connected SATA6G_3 port. I went ahead and bought another nvme SSD and tried connecting it to the M.2_2 slot. When it's connected neither the new SSD or my HDD is detected. I did some research and found that M.2_2 only works in PCI mode. I'm new to this and don't have much idea what to make of it.

First one that I already had is a Kingston A 2000 (250GB), the one I just got is a Gigabyte 2280(1TB)
