Hello there,

I bought this MB recently. I've been rather happy with it so far, only the chipset temperatures seem a bit too high to me - Armory Crate says 71°C / 53°C (159.8°F / 127.4°F) on idle, while the CPU (7600X) sits at about 33°C (91.4°F) and GPU (GTX1660 SUPER) 38°C (100.4°F).

What do you people think?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Make and model of your case and how the fans are oriented in said case? What cooler are you working with on that board/processor? What are your ambient room air temps? To me, they look fine for idle temps, what sort of temps do you see when the platform is taxed?

This is a Fractal Design Define 7 case with 6 fans (2 at the front and 1 at the bottom sucking air in + 2 at the top and 1 at the back blowing it out). CPU fan is a Noctua NH-D15.

Room air temperature is about 21°C (69.8°F). CPU temp. goes up to about 75°C (167.°F) on an all-core load (I run it at ECO mode). GPU gets to about 65°C (149.°F) when gaming.

I'm really only worried about those two chipset temperature readings. Strangely enough, those actually stay pretty much the same even under load.
