Question ASUS Tuf Gaming Z790 Display port causing screen flickering

Hi All,

I built a new pc and am using the same cable and monitor (Samsung Odessey G9 OLED) from my previous build so no problems with cable or monitor. My screen keeps on flickering every few minutes. I have the bios updated and all the drivers are up to date not sure why this is happening.

Can someone please help.

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Which GPU and Motherboard did you have before and which one do you have currently?
Make sure you are connecting to the right port. Try changing the cable or PCIex16 slot.

CPU Cooler - EK Nucleas 360
Motherboard - ASUS TUF Gaming Z790 Wifi
RAM - Corsair Vengance 6000mhz DDR5
SSD - 2TB NVME 2
No GPU
PSU - ASUS Tuf Gaming 850W Gold Modular
Case - Be Quiet 900fx
Monitor - Samsung Odessey G9 OLED

All pc parts are brand new.

I am not currently using a GPU running it directly from my motherboards DP. Waiting on my GPU arriving in a few weeks.

That board supports @ max. 4K@60Hz as specified in DisplayPort 1.4.
Make sure the cable matches the specification. Try another cable maybe.
