So today I purchased an ASUS TUF RTX 3070 Ti and put it inside my PC along with a new power supply, the Corsair RMX850.
I believe I did everything right, but Windows 10 does not detect the graphics card.
The graphics card does light up when I boot the PC, so I'm not sure what's going on with it.
I've reseated it multiple times now and nothing changed.

Could it be a faulty card or what?

Hi, did you connect the PCIe power connectors to the GPU, 6/8-PIN cables ? Make and Model number of your Motherboard ? Do you have the latest system BIOS installed ? If not, then update the BIOS if possible. Is the Monitor's cable plugged into the GPU ?

Can you at least see the BIOS POST screen, or there is no display at all ? Also, first try to clear and reset all the BIOS/CMOS settings to default, and then try again.

Hi. Yes, I did connect the PCIe cables. Motherboard is a Aorus Z370 Gaming 5. I have not checked if my BIOS is updated. I have tried plugging the monitor cables both into the display and hdmi ports on the GPU and nothing happened. The only way for me to see any display is to use the motherboard. I'll have a look at the BIOS tomorrow.

"I believe I did everything right, but Windows 10 does not detect the graphics card."

Does this mean that you turn ON the PC, the PC boot up and load Windows, but nothing is shown on the monitor?, Or the PC does not even start, or start with a beeping sound?

What I try to ask with this is if the PC seems to boot up with the GPU installed or does not?

Also go into the BIOS, and check this 3 options (check one by one, don't chnage the 3 at the same time, try with the number 1 only, then the 2, and so on):

1. Peripherals -> Initial Display Output (should be: PCIe 1 Slot Sets the graphics card on the PCIEX16 slot as the first display.)

2. Chipset -> Internal Graphics (make sure is on Auto)

3. BIOS menu -> VGA Support (you can play with this, change between both options, you may need to remove the CMOS battery if you get no display at all, not even with the intel GPU of your intel CPU)
