ASUS TX97-XE + AMD K6-III 400 + Voodoo 3 ?

Hi all,
anyone out there using the above configuration without problems? I had a Win98 hang after 2 hours of work...
My Voodoo 3 card is cooled by a large fan so temperature of the card should be no problem. But what about the voltage regulator?
I am using IRQ9 for all my 3 PCI cards - previously I had 4 PCI cards all using IRQ9 witout problems (VGA, WinTV, 2940W, Voodoo 2).

Hi Bernd,

I owe exactly the same Hardwareconfiguration without any probs. Normally one forced IRQ for all peripherals is not optimal. Try unique IRQ's for each card or automatism/PnP OS on.

Hi all,
I just some minutes ago have heard from a friend with a TX97-E, K6-III/450 and Voodoo 3 that he read somewhere to disable SDRAM speculative read ahead in the BIOS. Before he did this, he also had hangs. He was able to reproduce this with a 3D benchmarking suite.
I'll give it a try...
