I've tried to uninstall and reinstall in Device Manager. I've even tried to run a Windows diagnostics test and it just says that the CD is unreadable when in fact it works on other devices. It was working perfectly fine a month ago. Please help me as I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried rebooting/restarting it.

Not all cd/dvd drives are equal try original CD(Clean new cd not burned of any software) in the drive and see if it works i often face an issue where burned cds dont work in cheap dvd drives you could always replace it its only like $20

Same problem on my ASUS laptop (1.5 years old).
Solution trivial: open drive and dust off the two tiny colored things with clear plastic (the optical read and write lenses).
Dusting it off solved this very frustrating problem where a DVD would not read at all, and opening using explorer ejected it.
