I'm preparing to build a new machine. It's been over 5 years since I've done this, and since then I've retired, changed my focus and have definitely not kept up with things technological.

My new machine will be AMD-based, with the new ASUS ProArt B550-CREATOR motherboard. I picked this specific m/b because it supports Thunderbolt 3 and 4, which I need for my new Presonus Audio Interface.

I'm still waiting for delivery of some components, so I figured while waiting, I'd familiarize myself first with my new components. I've downloaded the Users' Manual for the motherboard from ASUS's website, but there is no detail in the document. I've looked for video tutorials, and even on ASUS' website for a Users' Manual on their UEFI BIOS functionalty et al. No such luck. I figured that the core functionality would be common across all/most ASUS AMD motherboards, or even one manual for B550 chipset boards, another for Z570's, etc...

Does anyone know if what I'm looking for exists? A users' manual for the ASUS UEFI BIOS user interface? Or I am just dreaming?

Solution
you usually have to find a thread or possibly a youtube video created by another user that has documented that particular BIOS.

and usually these will only be describing basic overclocking features or maybe a certain problem they had faced that was corrected through certain BIOS settings.

i've never been able to find any in depth description of all BIOS features for any motherboard i've used over 20+ years.

you can usually find each individual BIOS setting's description through simple internet searches,
but unlikely you'll find a page by page tutorial.

Thanks for your prompt response. Your reply confirms my suspicions. But wouldn't it be nice if m/b manufacturers did do that? Dream on, dream on teenage queen or whatever... Thanks again.
