So they are basically offering what should be the price of used graphics cards. The yearly release cycle floods the market with iterations of the same product artificially jacking up prices. Hence the 🍏 yearly revisión cycle, because they are not truly upgrades. 1080 to 2080 to 3080 to 4080, they should have only released a 1080, skipped 3080 as a revised 1080ti, then another new product release at 4080 that should have been a 2080. The 670 should skipped all the way to 1070 as a ti, etc.

A big brand needing to do trade-in is a telltale sign sales are not going well.

You could try and sell through eBay, complete with the, not insignificant, attendant risk of being ripped-off, leaving you with no card and no money.

Funny thing is that in the list of card you can trade-in, it's simply "RTX %modelnumber". But when you try to submit a claim and you need to select a card, they give you a drop-down menu where all cards are called "ASUS RTX %modelnumber%" and the page says "Please choose your Asus card". Now I'm confused about whether other brands are eligible for a trade-in (no mention of this in the terms and conditions).

If this was also US, I might be tempted, but only as I own an Asus 2080Ti and a 4080 would mean much better RTX, ReBar, etc. Otherwise, it's kind of a luxury as not much else bottlenecks my current card. So, probably a good thing it's not US also, then.

Where did you get the £200 for a used 2080ti from? The cheapest ones on eBay go for £399. There are some broken (for parts only) for £250.

£200 would be a massive bargain. 2080ti is faster than 3060ti, which sells for £430.

was wondering about that too. Its as good as the 3070 and will probably age better because of 11GB vram.
