Ok so im getting a new system and Im soooooo confused when it comes to video cards! I need some info from you "pro's" to help me come to a decision.

These are the 3 cards and there prices (canadian)

- Asus V6600 32mb GeForce256 AGP $245
- Asus V6800 32mb GeForce256 AGP $289
- Asus V7100 32mb GeForce2MX AGP $225 or $245 with tv out

What are the major difference's or limitations of these cards?

Thnx

V6600 is Geforce256 SDR
V6800 is Geforce256 DDR
V7100 is Geforce2 MX SDR

you can forget v6600 since it is slower and more expensive compared to v7100.

v6800 consume more power but faster than v7100.

however v7100 utilize some DX8 feature and the ref. driver seems stopped optimize for Geforce256.

Thnx for the post. But Ive decided to fork out the extra coin and get the v7700. after looking at Toms benchmark testing it just seems to be worth the 40 bucks more for that much more performance increase. Plus if i read correctly its on a smaller architecture and will let off less heat? (the asus site says 1/2 the heat dissapation of the v6800)
