ASUS VE247H audio broken

Hi there. I use the ASUS VE247H monitor (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004T2LMP2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00) exclusively for gaming on my PS4.

Recently the sound cut out and it no longer plays any audio from my PS4 via HDMI. Anyone got any ideas as to what I can do?

Yes it used to play sound perfectly...

The problem arose around the time of the PS4 2.0 update, so I originally thought it was a bug in the update. But I've run all the update patches and the console plays sound with the same HDMI cable on a different monitor - so I've concluded the problem must be with the ASUS monitor...

Any ideas?
