asus vg248qe 144hz - not decided witch cable

I am undecided of chosing the right cable for this monitor to get 144hz.I bought in the past a hdmi to dvi that its not working so I'm not sure what is better and if its working so please tell me if I should go for dvi to dvi dual link or dvi to display port.Thank you for your help!

geforce gtx 1060 6GB - that's all I know idk if there is anything else I took a look at its box

should be a model id on the box like this: GT OCV1/gaming/armor. Or just tell me what ports does it have? Should have displayport and that is what you will need for 144hz.

It says DVI/DP can do 144 hz for the monitor. So I suggest DP-DP is the safest bet

its 6GT OCV1 but I don't think it has display port. Will dvi to dvi give me 144hz with this monitor?cause I also have a hdmi - displayport but it doesn't work..

If you have DVI-D to DVI or DVI-D to DP or DP to DVI, those may work too. If not, just buy a DP-DP cable.
