Recently ordered an Asus VG248QE, and while it works just fine in 120hz mode, if I set it to 144hz what I believe to be artifacting occurs heavily. Turned off my Gpu and Cpu overclocks, but the problem is still there. Not sure what to do, but any input would be helpful.

Also, I'm using the DVI cable that came in the box with the monitor

Rig:
AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
Asus M5A97 R2.0
8.00 GB of Corsair Ram
500w Corsair CX PSU

Solution
I'd say try using a DisplayPort cable if you have one/can get one, monoprice has them pretty cheap. However, you could just have bad luck and gotten a bad panel :\ I would start by trying to rule out the cable first by trying a new one, or a different port entirely to rule that out.
