ASUS VG248QE Black ~1 Second flicker

So I recently bought the ASUS VG248QE gaming monitor in January, and it's recently been having this apparently semi-common problem of blacking out for ~1-2 seconds at random time intervals. Along with random flickers,

It's been an on-going problem, and is still a problem AFTER receiving it back from RMA'ing it to ASUS repairs (there was no information on whether the problem was solved, the RMA just said that it was being sent back, and I have no idea on if they actually did ANYTHING to it)

Some solutions i have tried:
-replaced dual-link cable
-used DisplayPort connection
-pull power cord, plug back in
-turning in to RMA department (no idea what they did to my monitor, but problem still persists)

It is connected to my ASUS R9 290X, and the problem was first noticed on an MSI GTX 770

Please help!

Did you figure out what was wrong? I'm still having this problem and i'm honestly thinking about just returning the monitor and buying something from benq.
