Hello everyone

I got a major problem with my 1,5 year old ASUS VG248QE monitor.
Yesterday i was playing SWTOR when after a loading screen my display had a 'green tint'. After restarting my pc a few times this worsened to a completely pixelated display with green lines. There are also sounds coming out of the monitor (they don't sound healthy). I assumed it was my graphics card at first since my pc is outdated but today i connected an old monitor and the display works just fine on that one. I tried connecting with both DVI and HDMI and the problem stays the same. When i connect my xbox one it also has the exact same problem. I will add 2 pictures where you can clearly see the problem. Does anybody know what could've caused this? And is it repairable on my own or do i have to send it back to ASUS?

Thanks alot in advance

Yea I would say a capacitor has probably gone bad. It happens. Sucks TBH as Asus makes decent monitors (I use two of the same model at home).

You could see if it is under warranty or if not see if there is a repair shop that can fix it. I had a Samsung TV that did a similar thing and I gave it to a person who replaced the bad component and it worked fine for them.
