ASUS vg248qe built in speaker question

So i've been using this monitor for about a year or two now but just started using the built in speaker that is also included in the monitor, and when i played some music on it, I realized that It isnt as loud. Is the speaker meant to be like this or is there some software to make it louder?

the monitor if you check the menu you can up the volume.. normally its only 50% or less. then you can use the windows or what ever to turn the volume up as well. but put it max 100% and then use windows volume control after that.
