Asus vg248qe not the same?

I've been looking to get a dual monitor set up with the same monitor that I currently have, which is the Asus VG248QE 144MHz monitor. I had ordered another one that seemed to be the same, but when I got it the first thing I noticed that it wasn't in the same box from my original one (difference being original box was red and had way different design than the one I received with blue coloring and different design), but I didn't think much of it because I thought it could've been a box change or something of that sort. Then when I plugged it in it the color and screen seemed completely different from my main one. I tried to do color calibration with the monitors but I didn't get much out of it. I even played videos on both of them and the new monitor didn't look as good as the one I already had. So what I wanted to ask was has there been any changes from the Asus monitor? Has there been more versions of that certain model(VG248QE), because from what I know there was one version of that model.

Note: This monitor was bought from bestbuy.

Sometimes although the model is the same, there might be a different panel used, so that's why the colors are not matching.
