Asus VG248QE support

I have a GTX 650 DC from Asus and I'm looking to buy a VG248QE monitor and it probably does but I still have to ask to be certain, does my GPU support this screen I'm about to buy?

Yes.

But your GPU is kind of a POS compared to that monitor. It's mainly the monitor is amazing and your GPU is only "okay".

You card's best port is DVI, which supports 1080p up to 120 hz. To run the monitor at 144 hz, you'll need a card with DisplayPort. Any newer card has that.

But running it at 120 hz until you upgrade cards will be just fine.

yes I know it's not the best I just need it for counter strike for now and I'll be buying a new one in the summer or so, so I'll have what it takes to run other games on 144fps, thanks for the answer kind sir.

Dual link dvi will run at 144hz. If only using one monitor either that or displayport is fine.

Pretty sure the 1080p max frequency is 120 hz. Could be wrong, but that's what it seems to say on Wikipedia (as well as other sources I've seen) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface
