Hi guys, I have a huge problem here. I've been searching everywhere and unfortunately, I have not seen or done anything to fix the issue. I have a MSI GT70 gaming laptop (mainly play CSGO) I recently bought the Asus VG248QE monitor. I am unable to use 120 or 144hz on the monitor. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have used my HDMI cable, no luck. Now I am using a mini displayport adapter cable that's coming from the back of the laptop then connecting the DVI cable that the monitor came with. When I go to resolution, then advanced settings, I am still unable to choose 120 or 144hz. I only have 60hz as the only option. Can anyone help please?!

UPDATE:

I right clicked on NVIDIA control panel, I was able to change from 60hz to 120hz. any idea why I cant use 144hz?

Make sure your setting isnt under the 1920x1080 hd, and is just under the regular 1920x1080 listing. You can choose the 144hz option there. If not listed, something is wrong in your Nvidia control panel settings.

when i go to change resolution, its on 1920x1080 (native) then i am able to change to 120hz. but when i click apply, it reverts back to 60hz. i dont see any 1920x1080 hd. when i click apply, there's a popup on lower right and it says "this is not the optimal resolution for the primary device.."

any idea?
