Asus VG278HE, can I run 144hz without DVI?

Hey guys, as the title states I have an Asus VG278HE and the only connections it has is...

HDMI 1.4
DVI-D
VGA

Is there any way to run it at 144hz without using the DVI connection? I'm curious if I can use a DisplayPort to HDMI adaptor and get 144hz or if it would still be maxed at 60hz?

You would need to use a dual link DVI or a displayport to dual link DVI adapter, the HDMI and VGA port do not support 1080p@144Hz.
