Asus vge248qe 144hz

I'm using the dvi dual link cable, I've updated my AMD drivers, I've updated the monitor with the drivers on the cd. I don't know what else to do. Help!
Edit: I can't change my refresh rate to 144.

You probably are trying to use an HDMI cable. You are required to use a Dual Link DVI-D cable to be capable of 144hz.

No I'm using the dual link dvi cable that came with the monitor.

Try a different DVI port on the card.

Can you get 120Hz or no?

Have you tried both DVI-D ports, sometimes one either is malfunctioning, or is not dual link. I've also heard and have personally experienced issues with a 2nd monitor hooked up that was not 120hz.
