Hi there, I got an Asus vk248h from a neighbour that had it in his (dry) cellar. I can turn it on, but wether I use pre-tested hdmi or dvi cables, it says "no signal" and goes into standby. The strange thing for me is: When I connect the hdmi cable to my laptop or my pc (tried both), the monitor wakes up from standby, so some sort of signal must come through, just to tell me again "no signal". Is this a know issue, something an amateur can fix or does it sound more like a circuit problem?

Set your resolution to 1080p (fullHD) 1920x1080 and refresh rate to 60Hz
Ist the Hdmi cable connected without adapters?
Change the source signal at the monitor

Other than that your digital in ports on the monitor might be defective. Then it would not be worth thinking about repairing it.

Yeah, those were the first things I tried, sadly they didn't work. There really seems to be a bigger problem with the electronics, so to the trash it goes. Still, thanks!
