ASUS VS ASROCK for my first build ever

Hi, I was thinking of getting an ASROCK motherboard but I seen many reviews that it was bad, and people seem to be liking ASUS alot. This is my first ever build should I go with an Asus or ASrock motherboard? Please tell me why.

Why not consider gigabyte they make great boards. Otherwise go with ASUS. Just for the record ASRock motherboards are not bad may be one or two motherboards have less features or some technical faults but that doesnot make the the whole brand bad.
