Question Asus VS228 power loss every few minutes

My asus VS228 has lately been experiencing black screens (complete power loss, LED indicator goes dark) every few minutes. Unplugging the power cord, waiting a few seconds, then replugging it seems to turn it back on. The problem still persists however.

I've tried using other cords and it still happens, so not sure whats causing it.

Are you sure it's the power to the display and not the display output from your iGPU/GPU?How old is the VS228 monitor? Probable that the power deliver system in your display is giving out, if the display output from your GPU and the display cable isn't compromised.

I'm positive its the power, since everytime it happens the LED power indicator turns off too.

It's 5 years old at this point, do you reckon its time for an upgrade?
