Hi guys. Hour ago I was surfing the internet and all of a sudden half of my monitor screen went purple (bottom half) and the upper half was all good. I immediately disconnect the monitor from my computer because I though it was my graphic card or something like that. I connected only the power cord and it was the same: half of the screen flickering and horizontal lines with all sorts of colors.

I think you should watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qt5wwPuIwAI

Is there anybody who knows what could be the problem? Maybe something that I could fix by myself.

Thanks in advance.

hello again i dont know if your laptop has dedicated graphics or not but since your using it to add another screen it still could be your graphics card because if your computer has integrated graphics and the you also have a dedicated graphics then when you try and use your laptop with 2 displays more than likely the dedicated card would handle the other display. hope this helps
hello there first thing i would do is plug your computer up to another monitor to see if it happens again if it doesnt then your video card is fine and its your monitor but if it does it again then you need a new video card either one is going to wind up being your problem hope this helps

I forgot to mention that this monitor extended the laptop one and laptop is working just fine. So, It must be the monitor.
