Asus VS248H-P IPS or TN?

I'm monitor shopping and I'm intending to buy the Asus VS248H-P. The Amazon page shows it as an IPS display. Various other places call it a TN display while others still call it an IPS. I called Asus to ask if it was an IPS or a TN display. The Asus rep I talked to didn't know either. What he said was that someone else called about this same issue a few months ago and Asus changed the monitor from one to the other but he couldn't remember if it started out as TN and then went to IPS or if it started IPS and went to TN.

So, i'm wondering, does anyone here know what the hell it is right now? Because I can't find any definitive information one way or the other.

Either way, this makes me sad for Asus, changing the panels of a monitor without making it very clear seems like a breach of the kind of service I've come to expect from Asus.

It's tn. All asus ips are 5ms or higher. Well there is one 4ms but still none as low as 2ms. I have this monitor though too and can tell from the viewing angles. The rep doesn't know what they're talking about. They don't change the display without changing model number.
