Hello, I am soon going to buy and construct my first PC build for gaming. I will play some FPS games like Battlefield 3 and then some MMORPGS (Guild Wars 2 maybe). I'm trying to decide between these two monitors.
ASUS VS248H-P Black 24" 2ms HDMI LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 ASCR 50,000,000:1

Asus VE248H Black 24" 1920X1080 2ms Full HD HDMI LED Backlight LCD Monitor w/Speakers 250 cd/m2 10,000,000:1

Now, they are the same price, at $205, and are very similar. I like that the 248H has built in speakers, but the 248H-P has a dynamic contrast rate 5 times as much (50,000,000:1 versus 10,000,000:1). Even though I am going to buy external speakers (and/or headphones), I wouldn't mind having built in speakers on my monitor. Anyway, is the difference in contrast a significant enough difference to justify getting the 248H-P without speakers?
Also, NewEgg says the price for the 248H-P used to be $230. The 248H used to cost $250. This confuses me a bit, because the 248H-P has a way higher dynamic contrast ratio, it only lacks the built in speakers.
