I was looking to change my actual monitor,a Samsung SyncMaster 206BW (20") to a 24" one...i'm an artist, but also a gamer, and my Samsung gave me the colors i wanted to draw..and also gave me the speed (2ms) to play without probs.

But it has +4 years and i've been looking for a monitor of 24" that has the same,or even better, quality n stuff of my actual monitor

I've been trying to find reviews and youtube videos (i even requested youtube people to take a shot of 2 drawings of mine to see how did they looked like in the new monitor, but no news) but the only thing i found is this http://www.bestgamingmonitor.net/featured/asus-vs248h-p-review/ (thou the monitor we have for retail has no "-p" in the end..)

I've read people in another forum when i asked for a monitor upgrade saying "IPS FTW,better colors" but then i google'd and said "Not good for Gaming"..maybe it's because i mentioned "art" in my doubts...but then, again,i'm into art (photoshop) n gaming (Team Fortress 2,others..)

Another thing is that some people on the net says "there's ghosting" others "NOT!"

What do you guys think?...

Well im not 100% sure on this but I have heard that the Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM is a very good image and also works well for gaming, you may want to check it out and read some reviews.

yeah it looks like there's a layer of grease all throughout the screen. Not literally on top of it, but the way the colors defract non uniformly.
