ASUS VX239 suddenly goes black screen when lights or other appliances is turned on

please help ..

my ASUS VX239 suddenly goes black screen when lights or other appliances is turned on ..
my PC is still on and the monitor is still on but it only goes black screen when lights or other appliances is turned on ..
it only happens when lights or other appliances is turned on ..

no idea but I think it could be the power disruption or whatever ...

I'm planning to buy a UPS as my solution, i guess it would help to stop that black screen issues ..

any suggestions guys?

Quite sounds like an electrical problem instead of a monitor problem... Have you just switch the cable order you are placing the monitor and the PC ?
If the pc powers off... well.. i guess you got an answer...

the cable of monitor is plugged in 220v of my AVR ..
already tried to put the cable of monitor in the extension cord that im using and still the monitor goes black ..

I'm thinking that could be electrical problem not a monitor problem because the monitor goes black just only when the light is turned on ..

I'm thinking to buy a UPS so there will be no power disruption..

also note that the monitor goes black screen only occurs when the lights is turned on ..

I wanted a opinion if the UPS will help to stop this power distruption ..

Well in that case the ups itself will prevent this to happend indeed... Still... it is a to worry problem even if you have an ups. As a temporal solution it will be of help for sure

thanks .. I will try to buy a UPS ..
I am 100% that the monitor is good .. I think It's just that the power disruption in my house could be the problem ..
