[SOLVED] ASUS VX97 Power Header

Hi, I have an old Socket 7 ASUS motherboard that has no labelled PWR header. The online manual only states to "switch on monitor and activate power". I've tried with just the PSU. When I connected an IDE cable to a CD-ROM drive, the PC momentarily started for 4 seconds then switched off. Any help?

I realise that and I did a long time ago. What I need help with is the POWER BUTTON HEADER, because I can't physically start my computer without a power button
EDIT: Not to mention that my PC wouldn't have momentarily booted without it being plugged in

Sorry, I read power header as "power switch header". My bad. I agree that there seems to be no instructions in the manual about how to connect a power switch.

Thats ok. I read elsewhere it's to do with the fact that AT PSUs have a built in button that you insert at the front of an AT case via cable.
