ASUS Wake on LAN not Working

Hi there, I have been having issues with getting my custom built PC to do Wake on LAN. The problem is that when I go to the properties of my network adapter which is an ASUS PCE-AC68 it does not allow me to check the "Allow this device to wake the computer". In fact the option is kinda grayed out. My BIOS has the allow PCIE to power on option enabled and I know how to do the rest of the steps for this process. But this one thing is stopping me.

That is a wireless nic isn't it ?

The WoL standard is only for wired nic cards. Now microsoft has a bunch of sleep/hibernate options that have confused this that may support wireless but it is not actually WoL. WoL is independent of the OS.

Wireless is massively more complex than ethernet. It has all the SSID and encryption keys etc etc. There are constant keep alive messages being sent between the wireless nic and the router. This is not something a BIOS does it is function of a OS. When you are in WoL mode it is normally function of the ethernet chip that can in effect push the on button. When you run in WoL mode pretty much the motherboard has turned power off to all the chips except the ethernet and the what ever chip...
