So I recently purchased an Asus PCE-AC56 PCI-E Adapter to go with my Asus ROG strix x470-f gaming as Ethernet isn't an option for me anymore.
I've installed all of the most up to date drivers for the network card and tried it in different PCI-E slots but still no joy.
I launch up the Asus Network Card software and it says " Please connect Asus Wireless Adapter."

I've tried taking a look in the BIOS but I can't see anything to solve this issue.
Any ideas?

Solution
Device manager needs to see it to ask for a driver, study your bios and manual.
These days motherboards have added options for optane drives, dual graphic cards, pci hard drives etcc... this has added alot to the bios options. If I use m2 drives I lose 2 sata ports if do something else I slow my second pci slot to X4 mode.
