my new built on ASUS x-99 Deluxe board has this unusual behavior, during initial start the computer boots for a second or two, then shuts down, after 2 second gap, it restarts flawlessly, no errors, the final code it gives AA.

second issue is the fast boot is not fast enough even with samsung ssd evo pro, my other PC running H87 with trancend SSD 128gb is a lot faster

I have written to ASUS support, but no reply, the bios is updated to the latest 1601

I had a moment where mine sat on "9C" which is USB Detect for upwards of a minute. Commonly the Asus logo would appear, then disappear then appear again when it would just sit for a while like this. I ended up unplugging all my USB devices and only plugged in a keyboard. Did a power toggle at the power supply to cut juice to the motherboard. It booted up much faster then, and I could plug all my USB devices back in.

I run a M.2 next to the processor/sata connects vs the Hyper card. So I was midly confused when I connected my other two 2.5 sata drives if they shared the bus or if I needed to move them to off SATA 0/1 to 2/3 or higher. But so far boot up has been quick, and for the most part the M.2 has been running at 1100MB/s roughy. SSD's pulling 510MB/s.

the x99 chipset is not so fast when compared to SSD, I have Samsung PRO SSD, but the boot is still not up to the mark. my other PC a H87 Built boots much faster as compared to X99, even I have enabled all 12 threads of my 5930k during boot in msconfig. and reduced startup programs. It took me 30 minutes to load win 7 64 bit fresh install on my Samsung pro ssd. the data I collected from internet is that x99 is more responsive to M.2 PCIe cards rather SSDs, I don't know is this true. this is either a x99 chipset issue from intel or a ASUS manufacturing defect.

The only thing I see here is to dump my ASUS X-99 Deluxe USB3.1 motherboard and try out another one. my dealer is recommending me ASUS Rampage 5 extreme, but really affraid to use ASUS motherboard, as their support is really useless.

Can any one recommend as better and more responsive motherboard
